Services for James W. Fox, 71, of Lebanon, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 4, in the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ronnie Harris officiating.

Mr. Fox was born July 10, 1930, in Marsden, the son of Samuel N. and Fannie Mae Ward Fox. He died Wednesday, May 1, 2002, in Texoma Medical Center, Denison, Texas.

He had been a resident of Lebanon since 1982. He and Brenda A. Baudendistel were married April 2, 1980, in Gainesville, Texas. Mr. Fox retired as a retort operator at Wilson Packing Plant in Oklahoma City after 35 years of employment. He was involved with the union at work. Mr. Fox was of the Protestant faith.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda A. Fox of the home; three sons and daughters-in-law, James and Diana Fox of Newalla, Walter and Dinah Fox of Norman and Richard and Pearl Fox of Muskogee; seven daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Melvin Threlkeld of Bethel Acres, Charlene and Keith Rush of Oklahoma City, Katherine and Martin Webster of Bellevue, Nebraska, Lori and Mitchell Kerlick of Oklahoma City, Cheryl and Younes Rahmanzadeh of Edmond, Debbie and Jim Davis of Oklahoma City and Violet and Jim Snider of Binger; two sisters, Frances Swinney of Marsden and Nellie Combe of Shawnee; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Mr. Fox was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Dow Fox, Spurgeon Fox, Charley Fox and an infant brother; three sisters, Irene Berryman, Jackie Larsen and Helen Andrews; and a son, Sam Fox.

Pallbearers were Raymond Threlkeld, Douglas Threlkeld, Barry Wiles, Lance Wiles, Will Shelton, David Fox and Clay Cheatman.

Interment was in Milo Cemetery, Milo, under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home, Marietta.
