Joyce Loraine Stephens, of Marietta, OK, was born to Roy Lee and Kathryn (Mack) Stephens on May 26, 1949, in Oklahoma City, OK. She passed away at Mercy Hospital in Ardmore, OK on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at the age of 73.
She was raised in Love County and had moved around to several different locations before settling back in Marietta in 2015. Joyce was a homemaker but had spent much of her time helping with the family roofing business. She loved spending time with her family.
Joyce is preceded in death by her parents; her son, Tommy Joe Winegeart; and several brothers and sisters.
Left to cherish Joyce’s memory are her sons, Jimmy Duane Winegeart of Emerson, AR, David Reese Winegeart and wife Donna of Marietta, and Jeffery Wayne Winegeart of Wilburton, OK; a daughter, Sheila Loraine Powers of Kemp, TX; six grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; brothers, Jimmy Charles Stephens and Allen James Stephens; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, May 6, 2023, at the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Marietta with Rev. Gary Stephens officiating.
Interment will follow at the McAlister Cemetery in Overbrook, OK.
A time of visitation will be held on Friday, May 5th, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
Casket bearers will be J.P. Eberhart, Joe Eberhart, Randy Stephens, Jecey Williams, Allen Williams and Darrell Henry.
