Obit for David Wolf
January 16, 2011
Submitted by: Coleen Wolf
I write this in tribute to my baby boy, my child, the man he grew to be and will always remain in my heart. David Wolf was born in September of 1980 to Coleen Wolf. He was a graduate of Yukon High school and recently attended OCCC with intentions of completing his Associate Degree in Public Relations. Dave worked at Trinity Rail as a sand blaster for three years that was followed by one-year of unemployment due to plant closure. He was recently hired by Tinker Air Force Base as a Water Jet Operator and would have celebrated his first year in March of 2011. That job gave him great pride and purpose. He loved his work and the people around him. Dave often talked about the tales of his day with a smile on his face. He truly enjoyed working there. Dave had a passion for playing Disc-Golf with his "brothers from another mother" John and Steve Hatcher. They often attended and participated in tournaments around the town and a few out of state. To hear Dave tell it, Steve was often the winner of the threesome. He and his buddies also enjoyed car shows, car races, anything cars, basketball games and just hanging out like guys do. I never experienced the terrible-twos with Dave, and together we survived the the terrible-teens. Dave always made his bed, took out the trash and mowed the yard without ever being asked. I can't say the same about the cat box. That required a special request that was sometimes followed by a bribe. When Dave was little, I would ask, "Do you know how much I love you? A bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck." Dave never left the house without asking if I needed anything else, followed by an "OK, I'm outta here, Love Ya." And I'd reply with a "stay outta trouble, Love Ya Back." And that's how our last words were spoken. Without any doubts, he left this world knowing he was loved. Dave was an only child survived by his Mother, maternal grandparents Tom and Theresa Joyce-Furlong, paternal grandparents John and Anne Wolf. special aunts, Tina Parizek of Yukon, OK and Cathy Deal of Des Moines, IA., and several other aunts, uncles, and cousins that are too many to mention. I send this special thank you to his extended family, The Hatchers: Big Daddy Raymond, Dave's other mother Kay, bro's Steve, John, and little sister Kim. Some more ears I bent and shoulders that I leaned, Uncle Rich in El Paso, TX, Uncle Bob and Peg in OKC, all my co-workers, neighbors and my extended family and movie buddies Diane Hock and Sharon Sellers. A "BIG THANK YOU" to the OK Medical Examiner's Office for helping me understand how he died instantly and without pain. Thank you all for keeping my child in your thoughts and prayers.

Memorial services will be held 12:00 PM Monday, January 24, 2011 at the chapel of Smith & Turner Mortuary, Yukon, OK followed by a private family burial. Please sign our online guest book at www.smith-turnermortuary,com. Services are under the direction of Smith & Turner Mortuary, Yukon, OK
