Lloyd C. Stephens Jr., 85, of
Yukon, OK, died Tuesday,
December 7, 2021, in Oklahoma
City with his loving family by
his side.
The son of Lloyd C.
Stephens and Eula (Collins)
Stephens, he was born August 17,
1936, in Cleveland, OK.
Lloyd met his loving bride of 60
years, Betty Louise Rodak, while
attending Abilene Christian
University and they married on
September 21, 1961, in Wheeling,
WV.
He loved God with all his heart
and put Lord first in all that
he did. He was a rural preacher
while attending college. He
served in the United States Army
in Germany as a chaplains'
assistant. He served many years
as an elder at Garriott Road
Church of Christ and South Yukon
Church of Christ. He was a World
Bible School teacher for over 15
years. Also, he was a missionary
on multiple trips to Malawi,
South Africa. He now is wearing
a gold crown eternally with his
Father in Heaven.
He was preceded in death by his
parents, and his sister,
Willadean, and daughter, Sarah.
Lloyd is survived by his wife,
Betty Lou; his brother, Gary and
wife Katie; three sons, Lloyd
and wife, Regina, Stuart and
wife, Vonda, and Brian and wife,
Michelle; six grandchildren;
Austin and wife, Lindsay, Alissa,
Karina, Kristen, Reagan and
Madison; three great
grandchildren, and many other
loved ones and friends.
Funeral service will be held at
10:30 a.m. Friday, December 10,
2021, at the South Yukon Church
of Christ.
Private family
interment will be at Yukon
Cemetery.
