MRS. CASSIDEY DEAD
Aged Mother of Mrs. Captain Gaston near Union City Passed Away Dec. 22nd. Died, at the residence of her son-in-law, Capt. William Gaster, Mrs. Jane Cassidy, aged 85 years, 4 months and 18 days, of heart disease and general debility, on Friday, December 22nd, 1903.
Thus has she passed away but her memory will ever be cherished in many a heart. Warm-hearted, kind and generous to a fault, firm and unyielding in all convictions of might, self-sacrificing for the comfort and happiness of others, untiring in all burdens and duties of life.
Mrs. Jane Cassidy was born in Cavan Ireland, August 1th, 1818. At an early age came with her parents to America. For the past ten years she has been living with her son-in-law and daughter near Union City, Oklahoma.
Three children survive her.
The intense suffering of the last few months brought no word of complaint, but she bore it all with Christian fortitude.
The remains were conveyed to the Union City cemetery west of town, where laid to rest by tender and loving hands to await the resurrection morning when Christ shall come to claim His own.
