Clariece Lyn Mills

Funeral services for Clariece Lyn Mills, 56, of Cogar, Okla., will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2004, in Binger, Okla. Rev. Curtis Robertson will officiate.

Clariece Lyn Mills was born Jan. 3, 1948, in Anadarko, Okla., and died on Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004, at her home in Cogar.

Burial will be in Niles Cemetery, Hinton, Okla., under the direction of Turner Funeral Home, of Binger.

Clariece Lyn Mills was born January 3, 1948 at Anadarko, OK to C.C. and Margaret "Roxie" (Shook) Phelps. She passed away Saturday, November 27, 2004 at her home in Cogar, OK, at the age of 56.

Clariece graduated from Binger High School and attended Draughan's Business College.

She was united in marriage to Ray Mills on December 22, 1966 at Oklahoma City, OK.

Clariece lived in the Cogar area most of her life.

She was a member of the Hub City Square Dance Club. She was President elect of the 2005 Oklahoma State Square Dance Federation, member of the Canaan Baptist Church, where she taught pre-school for a number of years.

Clariece made and marketed lye soap for several years. She worked for five years as Habilitation Training Specialist in Anadarko, OK.

Clariece enjoyed being with her family and friends. Square dancing was her hobby and kept her going through out her illness.

Survivors include: her husband: Ray Mills, of the home, Cogar, OK; two children: Dena Scott and husband Mark of Stillwater, OK, Carson Mills of El Reno, OK; three grandchildren: Ryan and Nick Mills of El Reno, OK and Jacob Scott of Stillwater, OK; two brothers: Jesse Phelps of Cogar, OK and Edward Phelps of Midwest City, OK; two sisters: Dorothy Kerlick of Cogar, OK and Idella Kline of South Carolina, and her square dance family.

Clariece was preceded in death by her parents: C.C. and Roxie Phelps, three brothers: Joe, Charles and Athel Phelps.

Services will be Wednesday, December 1, 2004, 1:30 p.m. at the Binger Church of God in Binger, OK with Rev. Curtis Robertson officiating.

Burial in Niles Cemetery, Hinton, OK, under the direction of the Turner Funeral Home, Binger, OK.
