Services for Ronald Hawk were held at 10 a.m. on Thursday,
January 7, 2016 at the Clear Springs Freewill Baptist Church in
Mustang, with interment following in Mustang Cemetery, Mustang,
OK. Services were under direction of McNeils Funeral Home of
Mustang.
Ronald Dean Hawk was born April 15, 1943 in Enid, OK to
Sam and Libby (Prazak) Hawk and died peacefully at his home
in Mustang, on Mon,, Jan. 4, 2016, after a long illness at
the age of 72.
He grew up in Hennessey, OK where he attended all twelve
years of school at Hennessey Public Schools, graduating in
the Class of 1961. Ron attended SWOSU and Rose State
University obtaining degrees in Math, Computer Sciences,
Industrial Arts and Electronic Engineering
Ron served in the US Army reaching the rank of Captain.
He worked for the Department of Defense and later for FAA,
retiring after over 40 years of service, in 2009.
He attended Clear Springs Freewill Baptist Church in
Mustang and loved riding motorcycles and going to the
mountains in Colorado.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Ellen of the
home, one daughter Marissa McCollough and husband Doug of
Mustang; grandchildren Megan, Kaitlyn, Jaxon, Madelaine and
‘baby Skylar’ due to join the family in February of 2016;
great grandchildren Landon and Brooklyn; and one sister
Gladys Brown and husband Lloyd of Loveland, Colorado.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his son
Loren.
