Grant was born on June 29, 1938 in Oklahoma City to Mabel Margaret Foreman and James David Foreman, both deceased. Grant attended Classen High School graduating in 1956. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Kansas University in 1960 and a Masters in Aerospace Management from the University of Southern California in 1967. Grant served four years in the Army stationed in Korea and moved back to Oklahoma City to work in his family owned antique business. His love of mathematics allowed him to work as a computer programmer at the Oklahoma Department of Human Services until retirement. Grant’s competitive spirit afforded him the tenacity to excel in Master contract Bridge, tennis, and as a respected classical pianist. Grant also had a big heart and was very appreciative of his friends and family.
Grant is survived by
a host of friends, including his good friend Nate Braden,
his devoted friend Von Seodora, his longtime friends John
Mayfield & Juanita Holley and many relatives.
The family
extends a heartfelt thanks to Robin Jones and Janelle
Turner-Reid who gave him great support in his latter years
and the staff at Integris Hospice House.
Grant will be remembered for a great intellect and love for his friends and family. He will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be 1-8 pm Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at Buchanan Funeral Service.
