Okarche – The funeral for Dick Ahlden, 82, who died Wednesday at an Okarche hospital, will be at 2 PM Friday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Okarche, with the Reverend Gary Trowbridge officiating.

 

Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery directed by Sanders Funeral Service, Kingfisher.

Ahlden was a retired farmer and rancher. He was born August 9, 1906, in Illinois. He married Dortha Brown August 4, 1929, in Okarche.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Lutheran Layman League and Aid Association for Lutherans.

Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Bill (Virginia) Reiswig of El Reno, Mrs. Ray (Betty) Mays of Guthrie and Mrs. Sam (Minnie May) Ballard of Okarche; a brother, Lorenz of Okarche; three sisters, Johanna Henrichs, Freda Schroeder and Leona Dannehl, all of Okarche; 12 grandchildren; and nine great – grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.

Memorials may be made through the church or funeral home to the Lutheran Hour.
