Timothy Don Smith passed away on February 14, 2017, after a long & courageous fight with cancer. To say that cancer won the war would be a mistake; no one who was surrounded by so many friends & loved ones who will cherish & relish his memory with such fervor would be considered defeated!
Tim was born in Oklahoma City on March 27, 1952, to parents Rex & Betty Smith & graduated from Putnam City High School. He was a proud Marine corporal & Vietnam vet. Tim attended Rose State College & graduated from Central State University. He was very active in the Boy Scouts of America, was a WWII enthusiast, enjoyed movies, music, & yoga.
Tim retired from Oklahoma County while working as an appraiser for Oklahoma County & ran out & bought a Harley & loved it to the very end.
Tim is survived by his loving wife, Donna; children Kert Browne, Carolyn Johnson & husband Adam, Mark Mowers, Samantha Smith, & Michael Smith; grandsons Mason, Colin, & Preston; brother Mike Smith & wife Linda, nieces & nephews, & many loving friends. A memorial service is planned for Saturday, Feb. 18th at Vondel L. Smith & Son Mortuary in Oklahoma City.
