Okarche – Wake service for George Leo Alig, 76, who died Saturday in an Okarche hospital, will begin at 7 PM today in the Holy Trinity Catholic Church at Okarche.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 AM Tuesday in Holy Trinity Catholic Church with the Rev. Charles Beckman as celebrant. Burial will be in the Holy Trinity Catholic Church under direction of Sanders Funeral Service, Kingfisher.

Alig was born March 15, 1909, in Okarche. He and Marie Gassen were married November 7, 1935, in Okarche. He was a retired farmer and a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include his wife, Marie; two sons, Jim and David Alig, both of Okarche; three daughters, Ann Schwartz, El Reno, Mary Jo Flahize, Dallas, Texas, and Alice Harvey, Phoenix, Arizona; three sisters, Nell Rother, Josephine Goodwin and Mary Miller, all of Okarche; 21 grandchildren; and two great – grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and a grandchild.

Memorials in his name may be made to the Okarche Memorial Hospital.
