A Celebration of Life for Laveta A. (Luschen) Redding, 87, of Enid, will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at Graceway Baptist Church, with Reverend Craig Bruyn officiating.

A private burial will be held at a later date.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 20th, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Laveta was born January 2, 1935, in Piedmont, Oklahoma, to Frank J. and M. Leona (Couch) Luschen, the fifth or sixth (twins) of six children. She passed away Friday, December 16, 2022, at St. Mary's Hospital in Enid. She married Harold E. Redding on September 20, 1953, in Piedmont, Oklahoma. They lived in Oklahoma City and Shawnee before moving to Enid in 1964.

She is survived by her four children, Mike Redding and wife Jan, Jo Ballard, David Redding, and Dana Stephens, all of Enid, OK. She also leaves ten grandchildren, Janae Gorman and husband Ryan, Trista Redding and Andre, Aundrea Reed and husband Anson, Mitchell Ballard and wife Robyn, Brett Ballard and wife Brittany, Randi Redding, Alan Redding and wife Tonya, Madison Humphrey and Zack, Emily Humphrey and Lamont, and Caleb Humphrey and wife Kiara; great-grandchildren, Sam, Carter, Cobie, Alexis, Halie, Drake, Brooke, McKaela, Madison, Barrett, Tina, Kia, and one coming in February 2023; and two great-great grandchildren, Holly and Bridger. She also leaves a brother, Loren Luschen, her twin sister, Loreta Brown, and brother-in-law Virgil Redding and wife Muriel, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Laveta is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Redding; parents, Frank and Leona Luschen; sister, Louise Blair Sparks; and two brothers, Delbert and Lonnie Luschen.

In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorial contributions in Laveta's name to Hospice Circle of Love or the charity of your choice, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
