Buchanan Funeral Service
Oklahoma City, OK
(permission granted)

It is with great sorrow, we announce that our beloved daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Eidson, passed away suddenly on September 27, 2020.  Sarah was born on August 24, 1980 to parents, Jim and Maire Snodderly, in Radford, Virginia.

Sarah was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Paul and Flora Sullivan, and paternal grandparents, Charles and Mabel Snodderly.

She is survived by her parents, Jim and Maire Snodderly, brother Michael, daughter Karley and good friend and coparent, Christopher Eidson.  Sarah is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends made during her young life.

Because of Sarah’s outgoing, bubbly personality, she never met a stranger and was a kind and gentle soul to each and every person she met.  She loved electronics; always wanted the newest gadget and easily learned to navigate and master new electronic devices.

Sarah learned to swim at age 5.  Even though Sarah almost drowned in the introductory advanced class, she loved to swim.  She swam competitively in school and on the Battle Forest swim team.  Later, she lettered in swimming at Putnam City High School, in Oklahoma City.

When Sarah gave birth to Karley, in 2007, she was delighted and cherished being Karley’s mother.  She and Karley were blessed to be together for three years before Sarah had to return to work.  Sarah was always grateful for every bit of the time she spent with Karley.

Sarah worked several jobs and, in 2015, took an Assistant Manager position with Extra Space Storage.  She had a strong work ethic and was promoted to Manager in 2018.  Her coworkers and customers enjoyed working with Sarah, due to her spirit of service and her excellent interpersonal skills.

In addition to enjoying traveling, Sarah loved to attend concerts.  The last concert she attended, before the pandemic, was with her beloved Karley, to hear Lauren Daigle.  They talked often and fondly of sharing that experience.

The family has entrusted Buchanan Funeral Service in Oklahoma City, OK with funeral arrangements.

A celebration of life will be held at Crossings Community Church, at 10 a.m. on Friday, October 2, 2020.

A live stream of the service will be available at: https://vimeo.com/463486128/8d48d53e2a

A private family burial will take place after the service.

In lieu of flowers, Sarah’s family asks that donations be made to Celebrate Recovery, at Crossings Community Church.
