Funeral services for Carl H. Wiedemann Jr., 89,
of Yukon, Okla. will be held at 2:00 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, in the Trinity Lutheran
Church. Donald R. Hefta, Pastor, will officiate.
Interment will be in the El Reno Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Wilson
Funeral Home.Mr.
Wiedemann passed away on Monday, Sept. 30, 2013,
in Mercy Health Center in Oklahoma City, Okla.
He was born on Jan. 14, 1924, in Richland, Okla.
Carl was a lifetime Canadian County area
resident.
He was a rancher and farmer for Canadian and
Kingfisher Counties.
He attended Richland and Yukon High School. Carl
was a lifetime member of Trinity Lutheran
Church, in which he was very active. Mr.
Wiedemann was very active in several
organizations including: past director of the
Banner Co-op, past board of director of the
Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Assoc., member of several
hunting clubs, Oklahoma Farmer’s Union, Oklahoma
Cattlemen’s Assoc., Canadian County Cattlemen’s
Assoc., Mineral Owners Assoc., Advisory Board of
School Land Comm., outstanding conservationist
for Canadian County, Banner Co-op, outstanding
Canadian County citizen, lifetime member of the
N. American Hunting Club, avid bear hunter, Blue
Rack Club and owner of Slash C Ranch.
He married Anna Belle Palmer on Sept. 11, 1949,
in El Reno, Okla.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl H.
Wiedemann Sr. and Alice (Barton) Wiedemann,
brothers, Herman, Gerald and Gilbert Wiedemann,
and sisters, Charlotte Wheeler, Mary Alice
Quandt and Arlene Haynes.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Belle (Palmer)
Wiedemann of the home; daughter, Brenda Chapman
and husband Dale of Piedmont, Okla.; three
grandchildren, Danielle and Lacey Benda and Cole
Dewey; two great-grandchildren, Bex Dewey -Benda
and Emilio Oritz, and numerous other relatives
and many dear friends.
