Betty Ratliff Myers, 90, of Blanchard, died Wednesday, May 31, 2017. The daughter of Ryan Haskell Ratliff and Mary Oma (Finucane) Ratliff, she was born May 17, 1927, in Blanchard, Oklahoma.

Betty worked as a clinical social worker for the State of Maryland, as well as in private practice, helping to heal many people before her retirement. She loved to read and engage in stimulating conversation. Her wide-ranging interests included mythology, philosophy, psychology, and art in all its forms. She grew up on a farm near Washington and never lost her love for the land and animals.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Philip Ratliff.

Betty is survived by one son, Robert Myers of Honduras and his husband Luis , stepson, Owen and stepdaughter, Josselyn; one daughter, Elizabeth “Liz” Biolley of Washington, Oklahoma; one granddaughter, Sarah Garcia and her husband, Mario, of San Diego, California; one great granddaughter, Frida Garcia of San Diego, California; her brother, David Ratliff and his wife, Jane, of El Reno, Oklahoma; a niece, Amanda Ratliff of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; a nephew, Steven Ratliff of El Reno, Oklahoma; a sister-in-law, Donna Ratliff of North Carolina; a nephew Brett Ratliff of New Jersey; a niece Kristen Fridinger of North Carolina and many other loved ones and friends.

A memorial gathering of family and friends is being planned for a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
