Paul Gene Griffin, 76, of Noble, OK passed from this life April 10, 2013 in Norman, OK.

He was born July 7, 1936 in Oklahoma City to parents William and Otylie Griffin. Paul lived many years in the Houston, TX area. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. After his honorable discharge he began his law enforcement career working as a Houston Police Officer and later for the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. After many years of public service Paul worked for Rock Island Railroad where he later retired. Paul enjoyed outdoor cooking, and was an avid fisherman until the past several years of his life when his health no longer permitted him to. He was a longtime member of Bridgeview United Methodist Church in Norman, and the American Legion Post 34. Though his accomplishments in life were many, he will always be remembered by his family as a deeply devoted husband and wonderfully caring father. 

Paul is survived by his wife Hilda of the Home; Sons, Don Griffin and wife Suzy of Norman, OK and Troy Griffin and wife Edie of Houston, TX; Daughter, Brenda Rogers and husband Jon of Broken Arrow, OK; Grandchildren, Nikki Simpson, Stephen Griffin, Stephanie Griffin, Michelle Griffin, and Jennifer Griffin; Brother Clifford Griffin and wife Thelma of Tyler, TX. 

He is preceded in death by his first wife Dorothy Griffin, and his parents. 

Funeral services will begin at 1:00pm Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at Chapel of Havenbrook Funeral Home in Norman with Pastor Dave Poteet officiating.

Visitation will be held Monday, April 15, from 9:00am to 8:00pm with the family being present from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Havenbrook Funeral Home.
