Mary Ethel Bernell Bradley

Mary Ethel Bernell was born to William and Mary Bernell October 31, 1882 at Council Bluff, Iowa.

She moved with her parents to El Reno, Oklahoma and resided there a good many years.

She later moved to the farm northwest of Durham which she homesteaded and resided until she departed from this life October 4, 1960.

She was married to James Charles Bradley March 7, 1908. To this union seven children were born. One son and one daughter passed away in infancy.

Her husband preceded her in death August 22, 1960.

She is survived by two daughters; Mrs. James Hughes, Midwest City, Oklahoma; and Mrs. L. P. White, Carrollton, Texas; three sons: Willard, Dumas, Texas; Roy and Donald of the home; five grandchildren, other relatives and a host of friends.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Durham.

Funeral services were conducted in the Durham Community Building 9:30 a.m. October 6, 1960 by Rev. Sandord Cole, Canadian, Texas.

Burial was in El Reno Cemetery, El Reno, Oklahoma.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Scroggins Funeral Home of Cheyenne.
