Salome "Sally" Whiteshirt Matanane, 81, returned to her Heavenly home on April 14, 2016. She is of the Arapaho Tribe, her Indian name is Saheihii.
 
She went to Concho Indian Boarding school, graduated from El Reno High School, and went to Chilocco Indian Vo-Tech in Oklahoma.
 
Salome was born February 2, 1935 in Concho, Oklahoma to  Nelson Whiteshirt  & Mattie Monroe.

She was preceded in death by her parents & siblings - Virgil, Dorothy, Virgie, Monroe & Esther Lee.
 

She is survived by her husband Juan C. Matanane, and their children & their spouses, and 21 Grandchildren & 21 Great Grandchildren, and numerous friends and family.

Burial at Concho Tribal Cemetery.
