Berdena Thompson Poolaw

Services were held at the J.J. Methvin Memorial United Methodist Church in Anadarko on Friday, August 1st, for Berdena Thompson Poolaw, 67, of Lawton.

"Wa-ta-wasso" or Singing Waters, was born August 17,1940 in Anadarko and died on July 29, 2008 at her home in Lawton.

She married Lester Gene Poolaw, Sr. on May 12, 1960 in Wichita Falls, Texas.

The couple lived in Korea, Okinawa, Germany, New York and Texas and moved back to Anadarko after Lester's retirement from the U.S. Army. He preceded her in death on February 12, 2006.

Both Berdena and Lester graduated with the Anadarko High School Class of '59.
