Services Tuesday For N.W. Williams

Final rites for N.W. Williams of Colony were held at the Fairview church east of Colony Tuesday afternoon by Rev. O.E. Hill, pastor of the Alfalfa Methodist church.

Mr. Williams, 69, passed away Monday.

Neil Wilburn Williams was born November 2, 1872 at Novellis, Ind. and died October 13, 1941.

He was married to Nancy L. Hill of Rocky, Ark. in 1908 and to them two children were born, a son, David, and a daughter who died in September, 1929.

Survivors are his widow; the son, David Williams, of Colony; one granddaughter; a sister, Etta L. Williams of Colony, and a brother, N. L. Williams of Tulsa and many other relatives and friends.

He was converted in mid-life but was not united with any church.

Joann Elizabeth [Lasley] Williams
August 27, 1930 ~ December 2, 2016


Joan E. Williams, 86, of Eakly, Oklahoma passed away December 2nd, 2016. She was born west of the Myers Store in the old farm house on August 27th, 1930 to Frank and Carrie Ida [Lawrence] Lasley.

Joan attended school 7 years at Hopewell School, North of Eakly.

She was baptized at Lake Creek at the age of twelve and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Eakly.

Joan attended High School in Eakly, graduating with the class of 1949. She attended Oklahoma College for Women for 1 year, there she met the love of her life Don G. Williams and were married at the Alex Methodist Church on February 17, 1950. They spent 2 years in Alex then moved to Eakly.

Joan loved being a Homemaker, farmers wife, and taking care of others, especially her family.

Survivors include: Daughter: LaDonna Chambless & Husband Doyle of Eakly, OK, Daughter in law: Paula Williams of Chickasha, OK, Grandsons: Tony Setzer & wife Tammy of Colony, OK, Denver Stocking & wife Laurie of Carnegie, OK, Dallas Stocking & wife Alison of Wellington, AL, Gr.daughters: Wendy Albert & husband Dustin, Philadelphia, PA, Hannah Williams, Bridgecreek, OK, Gr. Grandsons: Kade Setzer & wife Ashton of Hydro, OK, Felix & Roman Albert of Philadelphia, PA, Gr. Granddaughters: Kadree Setzer of Eakly, OK, Kamden, Brylie, & Karrigan Stocking of Carnegie, OK, Lily Stocking of Wellington, AL, Kaelyn Palmer of Bridgecreek, OK, Gr. Gr. Grandson: Holden Setzer, Hydro, OK

Preceded in death by husband, Don; son, Barney Williams, grandson Brady Stocking, and parents Frank & Carrie Lasley.

Funeral services for Joan were Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church in Eakly, Oklahoma

Barney Ray Williams
August 20, 1956 ~ November 10, 2016


Barney Ray Williams passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at his home in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Barney was born August 20, 1956 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Don and Joan Lasley Williams.

Barney attended school in Eakly, Oklahoma graduating with the Class of 1974. He attended college at Southeastern State College in Poteau, Oklahoma on a basketball scholarship. Barney could have gone to college on a baseball scholarship also as he was an excellent baseball player but he chose basketball.

Barney was a Truck Driver and drove for Garrett Trucking and Fractech Trucking.

Barney married Paula Barger on May 11, 2006 in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

Barney is survived by his wife Paula of the home in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Two daughters: Wendy Williams Albert and her husband Dustin of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Hannah Williams of Bridgecreek, Oklahoma.

Three grandchildren: Felix Augustus Albert, Roman Elias Albert, and Kaelyn Raeann Palmer. Mother: Joan Williams of Eakly, Oklahoma, One sister: LaDonna Kay Chambless of Eakly, Oklahoma. Numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Barney was preceded in death by his father Don Williams and one nephew Brady Stocking.

Graveside services for Barney Williams will be Monday, November 14, 2016 at 10:30 AM at the Poage Cemetery, Colony, Oklahoma.

Visitation: Saturday, November 12, 2016 9:00 AM-8:00 PM at Ray & Martha's Funeral Home, Carnegie, Oklahoma.

Sunday, November 13, 2016 1:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Ray & Martha's Funeral Home, Carnegie, Oklahoma.
