Oklahoma June 1969 March 28, 1893 ~ June 7, 1969 Sidney Raymond Taylor was born 28 Mar 1893 in Tennessee. He joined the armed forces in 1917 and fought in World War I. He married his wife Freda Helena Klein on 27 Feb 1921. They had two daughters, Beulah and Ruby. He farmed until his death on 7 Jun 1969. He was survived by his wife, both of his daughters and six grandchildren. |
Thomas, Oklahoma August 1985 April 24, 1899 ~ August 3, 1985 Freda was born at Syracuse, MO. She passed away at Thomas Memorial Hospital in Thomas, OK, having been ill for 8 months. She moved with her family as a child in 1901 to a location near Okarche, Oklahoma. They moved to the Colony, OK area in 1902. Freda attended Prairie Home School and Southwestern Normal School, where she received a teaching certificate. She taught school for 5 years. She married Sidney Raymond Taylor on 27 Feb 1921 at the Klein family home near Colony. They farmed in the Colony area throughout their married life. They had two daughters, Beulah Coleman of Oklahoma City, OK, and Ruby Capron of Cowden, OK. Freda continued farming even after the death of her husband, until her death. Freda was a member of the Columbian Memorial Presbyterian Church of Colony, where she taught a Sunday School class for several years. |
