Eakly Baby Killed By Asphyxiation; Rite Held Sunday

Funeral services for Brant Neil Smith, 16-months-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Smith, Eakly, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Fairview church, south of Hydro.

The infant was asphyxiated Saturday at his home when he caught his head between a bed and the wall, according to the attending physician.

He is survived by his parents' one sister, Tammy Kay; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lige Vincent, Eakly, paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. V.D. Smith, Mountain View, and great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. E.A. Smith, Mountain View.
