Creek Bank Caves In; One Girl Buried Alive

Buried beneath four feet of earth, Jeneva Readnour, 16, met instant death and the little daughter of Tom Green was partially buried while the Readnour girl and the Green children were wading in a canyon near the Foss store 8 miles south of Hydro early Monday.

Dr. J.J. Jenke of Hydro who was called to the scene estimated that sixty or seventy tons of earth caved in from a bank without warning.

The Green girl was extricated without serious injury, and the other Green children escaped the death trap. Jeneva is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walker Readnour.
