Monte Lewis McCarty
December 11, 1953 ~ April 30, 2004


Funeral services for Monte Lewis McCarty, age 50, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 4th, 2004, in the Bible Baptist Church of Chickasha. Graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. at the Poage Cemetery south of Hydro, Oklahoma.

Monte Lewis McCarty was born December 11, 1953, in Chickasha. He was the son of Hershel and Pauline [Wyatt] McCarty. He died Friday April 30, 2004, in Chickasha.

Monte was raised in Chickasha, he graduated from Chickasha High School in 1972. He worked for S.B.C. for 27.5 years. He had just retired.

He and Billie Mitchell were married April 2, 2004, in Oklahoma City.

Monte was the nicest person anyone would ever know. He enjoyed softball, bowling and loved working on the family farm.

He was preceded in death by his parents and by one brother, Stanley McCarty.

Survivors include his wife, Billie McCarty, of the home in Chickasha; his daughter, Courtney McCarty of Ada; two stepdaughters, Anissa Lynch of Oklahoma City, and Angela Lynch of Oklahoma City; two stepsons, James Elder of Chickasha, and Philip Roberts of Chickasha; two grandsons, Scott and Xander Lynch of Oklahoma City; three sisters, Shirley McMartin of Chickasha, Carol and Arthur Neal of Oklahoma City, Janie and Jackie Appleton of Lawton; his brothers, Herb and Vival McCarty of Denton, Texas.

Interment will be in the Poage Cemetery, Hydro, Oklahoma, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

The family requests in Monte's memory to give the Gift of Life by signing an organ donor card.
