February 2017 Ester Fae [Fogelstrom] Alvey Ester Fae Alvey Of Apache, OK Was born December 31, 1931 on the family’s home place northwest of Apache, OK. She passed away February 25, 2017 in Lawton, OK at the age of 85. Fae graduated from high school and went to Southwestern Oklahoma State University. She obtained her certification as a Beauty Operator and went to work at the Vaska Hair Salon in Lawton. She married Albert P. Wheatley and to this union, her daughter was born. She later taught tailoring for Singer Sewing Machine in Lawton. She married Earl Alvey and together, the owned many rent houses, and operated an urban renewal company where she kept the books. Fae enjoyed living out in the country and purchased her own farm where she took care of cattle, chickens and various animals. She then started dating J.B. Mattoon, and she began farming with him. Later she went in to the cattle business with his son, Steve Mattoon. Fae also loved taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by: Her daughter and husband- Carol and Kenneth Perou Lakeside Village, OK 2 grandchildren - Robert Kenneth Perou and his companion, Pat Gaskill Tulsa, OK Beverly Ann Perou and her fiance, Ferrel Hutchinson Lakeside Village, OK 2 great-grandchildren - Jordan Robert Samuel Perou and Cameron Emmitt Anthony Perou, 2 sisters- Jessie Rae Brundige Wichita Mountains Estates, OK Betty Ann Rye Shawnee, OK Special friends- Steve and Becky Mattoon Apache, OK. She was preceded in death by: Her parents 2 brothers, Thurman Glen Fogelstrom and an infant brother. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, February 28th at 1:30 P.M. at Pine Ridge Cemetery at Hopewell with Rev. Bud Jones officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Crews Funeral Home. A Visitation will be held Tuesday morning at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home. |
