Norman, Oklahoma May 12, 2008 July 10, 1941 ~ May 12, 2008 HINTON -- Funeral for Wilmore Whitebead, 66, Hinton, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Caddo Cultural Center, Binger, with the Rev. Pete Wall officiating. Prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the cultural center in Binger. Mr. Whitebead died Monday, May 12, 2008, in a Norman hospital. Burial will be in Binger Cemetery under direction of Comanche Nation Funeral Home. He was born Thursday, July 10, 1941, in Lawton to Irvin and Wilma Permansu Whitebead. He was a member of the Comanche Nation of Oklahoma and of Caddo descent. He graduated from Chilocco Boarding School. He then attended Okmulgee Tech, where he received a certificate for dry cleaning and automotive paint and body. He received an Associates of Science Degree from Murray State College. He graduated from East Central University with a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice in 1986. He married Shirley Sweeten in 1966 at Okmulgee. He was a C.L.E.E.T. certified armed security guard for Gold River Casino for many years. Survivors include a son, Randall Whitebead, of Milburn; a brother, Melvin Whitebead, of Binger; a daughter, Anna Seuffert, of Oklahoma City; grandchildren: Destiny Whitebead, Brandon Whitebead, Cassie Whitebead and Jessie Whitebead, all of Milburn; and Melissa Seuffert and Crystal Seuffert, both of Oklahoma City. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m Thursday at the funeral home. |
