Amanda Karole [Parrish] Shook
February 13, 1983 ~ December 12, 2013

Amanda Karole Parrish Shook was born February 13, 1983 to Larry and Linda [Davis] Parrish. On December 12, 2013, Amanda was taken to Heaven to sing with the angels, due to injuries sustained in a head-on auto accident on Sunday, December 1, 2013.

Amanda grew up East of Binger, Oklahoma and attended Lookeba-Sickles School and graduated May 2001. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Gracemont, Oklahoma.

Amanda married Dustan Shook on May 26, 2001, from this union two children were born, Carter Reid Shook and Madison Nikole Shook.

After her divorce she moved to Chickasha, Oklahoma where she became Assistant Manager of Alltel/Verizon phone company. It was there she met and fell in love with her fiance', Jeremy Butz. Amanda and Jeremy have a son Austin Blayke Butz. They made their home in Bridgecreek, where Amanda was a "proud stay at home Mom."

Amanda worshipped her children and viewed them as the lights that made her world shine. She was a very dedicated mother and a great one; the result seen by others in the actions in her children. She was a very special lady, who daily made some form of contact with her parents either by phone, text or facebook. Amanda had a heart far beyond gold. She was tender hearted, but had the strength of a bull. Those who were blessed to know Amanda found out what the true meaning of a friend was, because when she cared for you, you knew you had a lifetime friend.

Amanda is survived by her three children; Carter 11, Madison 6 and Austin 2, and her fiance' Jeremy Butz, all of Bridgecreek, Oklahoma,

Her parents; Larry and Linda Parrish of Binger, Oklahoma.

One Brother: Brandon Parrish and wife Dacy and their children Kamberlyn and Adelyn of Bridgecreek, Oklahoma.

One Sister: Natosha and husband John Jones and their children Jaden Boren and Nathan Jones of Chickasha, Oklahoma.

Her In-Laws: Steve and Brenda Butz and daughter Stephanie of Blanchard, Oklahoma.

Dustan Shook of Spring Creek, Oklahoma as well as several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins, mostly in the Kentucky area; other relatives and friends.

Services were held December 17, 2013 at 10:00am at the First Baptist Church in Gracemont, Oklahoma with Pastor Donny Crittendon officiating.

Burial was in the Murray Cemetery in Binger, Oklahoma under the direction of Steverson Funeral Home of Anadarko, Oklahoma.
