Corn, Oklahoma November 2019 January 29, 1929 ~ November 23, 2019 Bernice Gregory Phillips was born January 29, 1929 on a farm north east of Binger to Roy and Martha [Tucker] Gregory. She passed away Saturday, November 23, 2019 at the Corn Heritage Village Nursing Home in Corn Oklahoma at the age of 90. Bernice had three siblings Laverna, Erma Jean, and Leroy. At the age of seven she lost her mother to tuberculosis and was raised by her father with the help of both sets of grandparents. Bernice attended Centerville and Lookeba Schools. She left high school and went to work in Binger caring for children and working at the Binger Newspaper. In 1946 she met and married Willie Phillips and they raised six children, five boys and a girl. She was a housewife and mother, did fieldwork, enjoyed raising a garden, helped raise chickens and cows. Bernice enjoyed sewing, needle work, and canning. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Martha Phillips, her husband of 53 years, Willie Phillips, two sons, Patrick Phillips and Calvin Phillips, a grandson Gaylon Phillips, and two sisters Laverna Mitchell and Erma Jean Thompson. Bernice is survived by her four children, Carolyn Austin and her husband Mike, Billy Phillips, Jimmie Phillips, and Jack Phillips and his wife Kay all of Weatherford Oklahoma; daughter-in-law Deborah Phillips of Noble, OK; 16 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; one brother Leroy Gregory and wife Treva of Binger, Oklahoma. Norman, Oklahoma November 2015 August 13, 1968 ~ November 15, 2015 Patrick Keith Phillips was born on Aug 13, 1968 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Willie Henry Phillips and Alice Bernice Gregory. Patrick passed away on Sunday November 15, 2015 in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 47. Patrick graduated from Lookeba Sickles High School and attended the University of Oklahoma before serving in the U.S. Army. Patrick married Trisha Farrow and had two children, Gaylon and Dustin. Patrick later married Amber Mills whom he also had one daughter, Tailor. Patrick then married Sarah Paine, and became the father of two children. Patrick lived in the Norman and Blanchard area and had worked in the Auto Body Industry for many years and was currently working at the Heilliger Body shop in Blanchard. Patrick enjoyed working on motorcycles, working around the house, building model cars and music; he was also a wonderful artist. Patrick was baptized in the Church of Christ. Patrick is survived by his wife, Sarah Paine of Blanchard; his children Dustin Joshua Keith Phillips of Norman and Tailor Janelle Phillips of Purcell, Ryan and Austin Paine of Blanchard; and his mother, Bernice Phillips of Binger; grandchildren Dalton Bryce Keith Phillips of Edmond, Jude Halliburton of Norman, Addison Keith Phillips and Jayden Keith Phillips of Noble. Patrick also leaves behind his sister, Carolyn Austin and husband Mike of Weatherford, Oklahoma and four brothers, Calvin Phillips and wife Deborah of Noble, Billy Phillips of Weatherford, Jimmie Phillips of Weatherford and Jackie Phillips and wife Kay of Weatherford and many nieces and nephews, as well as his beloved dog, Cricket. Patrick was preceded in death by his father, Willie Henry Phillips, and a son, Gaylon Patrick Keith Phillips.
