© Carnegie Herald Carnegie, Oklahoma Wednesday, June 10, 2009 April 29, 1915 ~ June 4, 2009 Funeral services for Maudie F. Hoover, 94, were held 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 8, 2009 at the Church of God in Binger with Rev Ralph Davis and Rev Bill Bishop officiating. Maudie was born April 26, 1915 to James W. And Georgeann [Bellah] Younglove in Rocky and died Thursday, June 4, 2009 with her family by her side. Maudie married the love of her life, Curtis Eugene Hoover on December 22, 1934 in Cordell. From this union was born one daughter. They were in the dairy business and farmed for many years. She also worked at Nickerson Farms in Hinton for several years and Kimberly's Cafe in Binger. She and Curtis loved the Lord and they were very active members of the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Anadarko. She loved gospel singing and especially enjoyed Bro Bill Bishop playing the harmonica. She was a prayer warrior and a very kind and giving Christian Lady. Her greatest job was her family. When Maudie's health began to fail her, she still maintained her faith in Christ and was so thankful for her loving family. Her grandson, Steve Marrow, who actually considered her more his mother, took very good care of her the past 10 years of her life. She never complained. Maudie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents; one grand-daughter[in-law, Ella Faye Marrow; cousin, but raised like a sister, Rosie Sprinkles; two nieces, Shirley Smith and Evelyn Mansfield; and a sister, Vinnie King. She is survived by one daughter, Mary Hayes and husband, Pat of Anadarko, two grandsons, Steve Marrow of Binger and Patrick Michael Hayes of Anadarko; several great grandchildren; sixteen great great grandchildren, one great great great grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Burial was in the Binger Cemetery under the direction of Binger Funeral Home. |
