Vance Haskins and Rev. Phil Ratliff officiating. Burial was in the Murray Cemetery in Binger. Services were under direction of Turner Funeral Home. Mrs. Gathers died Friday in Binger. She was born June 9, 1966, in Clinton. She graduated from Binger High School in 1984 and attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University and Redlands Community College. She was employed by the United Methodist Canyon Camp in Hinton and United Methodist Cross Point Camp in Kingston, and returned to Hinton's Canyon Camp. She was a volunteer for the American Red Cross early in her career and worked her way up to the position of executive director of the American Red Cross, Canadian Valley Chapter in El Reno. She was one of the first correctional officers of the Great Plains Correctional Facility in Hinton. She was a volunteer with Angel Food Ministries and at the Binger Community Center and was active in Relay For Life. She is survived by a daughter, Jesakah Gathers of the home; her mother, Wilma Lopez of Binger; a twin brother, Bryan Lopez of Binger; and sisters, Tracey Ingram of Binger and Teresa McCauley of Anadarko. |
