Ada, Oklahoma January 2018 June 30. 1927 ~ January 5, 2018 Levi Edwards, 90, passed away on January 5th, 2018 in Ada, Oklahoma. He was born on June 30, 1927 in Binger, Oklahoma to Susie [Enoch] Edwards. He married Virginia Underwood on September 4, 1953 in Oklahoma City, OK. Levi served his country in both the U.S. Navy and the Air Force during WWII and was an MP. He then went to work for Ford Motor Company in Oklahoma City and was later transferred to Dallas, Texas. He retired from Ford Motor Company after 32 years on September 1, 1985. He and Virginia then moved to Lula, Oklahoma. He was a winning fast pitch softball coach for the Kachina Dolls and an avid bowler for many years. He loved to fish, camp and play horseshoes and always enjoyed getting together with family for fishfries. Some might be surprised to know he was a hobo for a short time in is younger years, riding the trains across the country. He is survived by: 3 Daughters: Pat Bartmess of Oklahoma City, OK, Ginger Willie of Shawnee, OK, Naomi Edwards and Vickie Rinebarger of Mustang, OK., 9 Grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Susie [Enoch] Edwards and his father. His wife Virginia [Underwood] Edwards; his son, Felix Spencer; his daughter, Desiree Edwards; his son-in-law, John Bartmess and his great-great granddaughter DaShawna McVay. His brothers, sisters and other family members. Family will host story sharing time on the evening of Monday, January 8, 2018 at Smith Funeral Home.
