Hydro, Oklahoma December 2019 December 7, 1948 ~ December 19, 2019 Tommie Ralph Dillard was born on December 7, 1948 in Harlingen, Texas to Ralph Lee Dillard and Betty Lou [Abbott] Dillard. He passed away on December 19, 2019 in Hydro, OK at the age of 71. Tommie graduated from Hinton High School in 1967. Tommie lived in the Hinton area all of his life. He worked for various people and businesses and he helped his grandparents, Fay and Sallie Abbott, on their farm. He went to work for Great Plains Correctional Facility as a correctional officer in May 1991, for 28 years, and retired on August 31, 2019. He enjoyed going to auctions, his horses, cooking and smoking ribs and brisket, watching OU Football since he was an avid OU fan. He was the town Santa for the town of Hinton and for different functions in the area. Tommie was a kind, gentle man, his generosity was well known. He tried to give back to those who helped him in his time of need. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hinton, OK. Survivors include: his siblings, Allen Dillard and wife Sheryl of Hinton, OK, Lizabeth "Libby" Goss and husband Sinclair Colbert of Highpoint, NC, Tracie Sample and husband McBeth of Mustang, OK, sister in law, Patti Dillard of Mesa, AZ, his nieces and nephews, Michael Dillard and wife Krisha of Tuscon, AZ, Jennifer Chapman and husband Ronny of Mesa, AZ, Missy Dillard of MO, Trent Goss of OKC,OK, Casey Edmonds and Hollye of Yukon, OK, and Emily Sample of OKC,OK. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Dillard and Betty Edmonds, his brother, Dannie Dillard, and his grandparents, Beverly Fay and Sallie Abbott.
