Friday, 24 October 1952 Minnie Lee Willis ANADARKO, Oct. 24--Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the First Christian Church for Mrs. Minnie Lee Willis, 66, a long-time resident of Anadarko who died Friday in an Oklahoma City hospital. Mrs. Willis is survived by three sons, Dan, Anaheim, CA, Comm. Enos H., Norfolk, VA, James T., Midland, TX; four daughters, Mrs. Lilie Vandagriff, Mrs. Hazel Bettes, both of Oklahoma City; Mrs. Lois Ellis, Ventura, CA, Mrs. Ferne Shields, Kansas City; a brother Jim Campbell, Oklahoma City, a sister, Mrs. Anna Stephens, Long Beach, CA. STATE PIONEER'S ANADARKO RITES PLANNED TODAY Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the First Christian Church for Mrs. Minnie Lee Willis, 66, a long-time resident of Anadarko who died Friday in an Oklahoma City hospital. Mrs. Willis was born Feb. 23, 1886 in Grayson County , Texas , and moved to Anadarko in 1914 from Chickasha . She was the widow of Henry Thomas Willis. She was a member of the Daughters of the Confederacy, Rebekah lodge, Order of Eastern Star, the Baptist church and was past president of the American Legion auxiliary. Mrs. Willis is survived by three sons, Dan, Anaheim, CA, Comm. Enos H., Norfolk, VA, James T, Midland, TX; four daughters, Mrs. Lilie Vandagriff, Mrs. Hazel Bettes, both of Oklahoma City, Mrs. Lois Ellis, Ventura, CA, Mrs. Ferne Shields, Kansas City, a brother Jim Campbell, Oklahoma City, a sister, Mrs. Anna Stephens, Long Beach, CA. |
