© Mercer-Adams Funeral Service Bethany, Oklahoma September 2008 Samuel William Wilhelm Samuel William Wilhelm, 66, went to be with his Lord September 10, 2008. He was born in Marlow, Oklahoma March 5, 1942 to Samuel Patton and Edith Suchnetsa Wilhelm. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers-in-law Ray Patterson and Jim Herring. He is survived by his son Scott and wife Sonja; sisters Ella May [Wilhelm] Patterson, Marlow, Oklahoma, Shirley [Wilhelm] English Orsburn, Oklahoma City, and Loretta [Wilhelm] Bissette Herring, Eufaula, Oklahoma. He is also survived by 12 nephews and nieces and many great-nephews and nieces. He attended school and graduated High School in Anadarko. He worked for Safeway in Anadarko and later moved to Oklahoma City and continued working for Homeland as produce manager for 30 years until he retired. He went to work for IBC (Dolly Madison) as a clerk for 9 years and retired again. He was a union member at both organizations. He enjoyed traveling, floral design, auctions, playing piano and organ, interior decorating and remodeling, and playing slot machines. He enjoyed a cup of coffee with friends and family at a restaurant and at home. Also, snacking with his buddy Chyna.
He volunteered for Okla. Opry, Lyric Theatre and SEC (Safeway credit union) where he was a board member. |
