© The Chickasha Express-Star 4 September 2003 John Thomas Franko Vasquez John Vasquez, 74, of Anadarko, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, September 1, 2003, at the Comanche County Memorial Hospital in Lawton, Oklahoma. John was born September 18, 1928, in Anadarko, Oklahoma, to Nicholas and Lola (Franko) Vasquez. John married Delphine Shemayme on January 22, 1953, in Anadarko, OK. He worked as a mechanic and served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Survivors include: 4 daughters: Jennifer Littlechief and husband, Lance, Colorado Springs, Colorado, Victoria Tsehai and husband, Travice Hawkins, Anadarko, OK, Antionette Pierce and husband, Curry, Anadarko, OK, Maria Vasquez and husband, Andrew Sarmiento, Anadarko, OK; 5 sons: Keith Vasquez and wife Herbette, Chickasha, Oklahoma, Nicholas John Vasquez and wife, Tonia, Chickasha, OK, Manuel Vasquez and wife Henrietta, Norman, OK, George Vasquez and wife, Kim, Anadarko, OK, Rusty Traywick and wife, Donna, Anadarko, OK; 32 grandchildren: 36 great grandchildren; 2 brothers: Tony Vasquez, Anadarko, OK, Ralph Vasquez, Oklahoma City, OK; 3 sisters: Nellie Guerrero, Oklahoma City, OK, Angela Gomez, Anadarko, OK, Famie Gomez, Anadarko, OK; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family. John was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, 2 brothers, Floyd Vasquez and infant, Leon, three sisters, Andrea Santos, Tiny Brookshire and infant, Ramona. Prayer service: 7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 4, 2003, Smith-Hackney Funeral Home Chapel, Anadarko, Oklahoma. Funeral Mass: 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 5, 2003, St. Patrick's Mission, Anadarko, Oklahoma. Officiating: Father Mario Pulugujju. Burial will follow in Memory Lane Cemetery, Anadarko, Oklahoma under the direction of the Smith-Hackney Funeral Home, Anadarko, Oklahoma. |
