Bartlesville, Oklahoma July 6, 2021 February 22, 1943 -~July 6, 2021 Phillip Tracie Tucker passed away at his Bartlesville home on Tuesday, July 6, 2021. Phillip was born on February 22, 1943, in Joplin, Missouri, to Robert Tracie Tucker and Beatrice Huffine. He graduated from Anadarko High School in 1962, and later graduated from Southwestern University in 1967. On September 6, 1963, Phillip married the love of his life, Janette Tucker. He worked as a biochemist at Phillips Petroleum Company for 30 years. He decided to take retirement at his beloved lakefront home in 1999. While working for Phillips, he traveled to Stavager, Norway to work offshore and was awarded for his contributions using an ultraviolet light source as an antimicrobial for underwater oil rigs. Phillip loved to travel, in 1988 hiked the Grand Canyon and for his and Janette's 50th wedding anniversary, they traveled to Canada. Besides traveling, he enjoyed spending time on his boat and especially loved fishing with his grandsons, he also liked tending to his garden, and always enjoyed a good glass of scotch. Phillip is preceded in death by his father Robert Tracie Tucker, his mother Beatrice Pearl Tucker, his sister Teresa Pearl and many cousins, aunts and uncles. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Janette, his daughter Tracie Daniel and her husband Rocky. His son Robert Tucker and his wife Angie, three grandsons: John Dietrich, Steven Tucker, and Chris Tucker, and many other cousins, relatives, and close friends. A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 10, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. at Memory Lane Cemetery in Anadarko, Oklahoma. |
