© The Chickasha Express-Star Sunday, 20 May 2007 Lonnie Owen Lonnie Owen, 85, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, was called home by the Lord on Thursday, May 17, 2007 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. He was born December 1, 1921 to Thomas Edward and Cena [Cooper] Owen in Asher, Oklahoma. He was united in marriage to Beulah Marie Freeman on June 25, 1945 in Anadarko, Oklahoma, from this union was born 5 children. He worked at Sequoyah Mills in Anadarko, Oklahoma and retired as a fork lift operator for Maremont Corporation in Chickasha, Oklahoma after 20 years of loyal service. He was an auto mechanic all his life and enjoyed tinkering with anything mechanical. He enjoyed blue grass and Gospel music. Hunting was a favorite past time. His greatest joy was being around his family and family get together's. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife: Beulah Owen of the home; One son: Tommy Own and wife, Glenda of Chickasha, OK; Four daughters: Patricia Menefee and husband, Larry of Chickasha, OK; Peggy Ramming and husband, Roy of Branson, MO; Sharon Stumpf and husband, Raymond of Chickasha, OK; Cynthia Thoma and husband, Larry of Summerfield, NC; Ten grandchildren; Nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Lonnie is preceded in death by, his father and mother, two brothers, four sisters, one grandson, Robin Menefee. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 19, 2007 at Central Assembly of God in Chickasha, OK. Rev. Larry Harfield and Rev. J.W. Wyckoff will officiate. Burial will follow in the Memory Lane Cemetery, Anadarko, OK. under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home, Anadarko, OK. |
