Cletus Michael Novotny

Cletus Michael Novotny of Burkburnett drowned Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2008, in Lake Texhoma.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008, at St. Judes Catholic Church in Burkburnett at 1 p.m., Fr. Hoa Nquyen of Sacred Heart Church officiating. Burial will follow in Anadarko Cemetery Anadarko, Okla., at 4:30 p.m. under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Burkburnett.

There is family visitation Friday at 6pm to be followed by a rosary at Owens & Brumley at 7pm

Cletus married Nancy Kolar September of 1963, she died in 1976, and married Aletris Reynolds in Elgin, Okla., in 1978. He was a retired Oil Pumper for Landrum Petroleum. Cletus was born to Stanley Novotny and Loretta Voegeli Novotny August 11, 1938, in Anadarko, Okla.

Survivors include his wife of the home; 2 sons, Michael Novotny of Oklahoma City and Junior Novotny of Greenwood, Arkansas; daughter, Laurie Bales of Burkburnett; 4 stepdaughters, Donna Acosta, Monetta, S.C., Diana Portice, Flint, Michigan, Wendy Kolker, Elgin, Okla., and Penny Webb of Wichita Falls, Texas; 15 grandchildren; 3 brothers, Robert, Kenneth and Stephen Novotny; 5 sisters, Delores Anderson, Elaine Mahl, Mildred Howell, Antonette Dutton and Gladys Buresh. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Nancy Kolar; his parents; and 2 sisters, Bernadett Leibold and Julia Jackson.

Cletus was a member of the Knights Of Columbus.
