© The Chickasha Express-Star 10 June 2003 Bob Montgomery Graveside services for Bob Montgomery, 85, Cement, were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 7, 2003, at the Memory Lane Cemetery, Anadarko, Oklahoma, with Rev. Roger Bennett, pastor, First Baptist Church, Cement, Oklahoma, officiating. Mr. Montgomery died Wednesday in a Marlow nursing home. Burial will be under the direction of Robbins Funeral Home, Fletcher, Oklahoma. Mr. Montgomery was born May 9, 1918, in Sterling, Oklahoma, to Joe and Maude Agnes Montgomery. He moved to the Cement area when he was 14. He worked in the oil fields until he joined the Army in 1941. He was discharged from the Army in 1944 and came back to the Cement area, where he worked as a contract plumber and electrician for over 50 years. He was married to Alta Lorna Harris. She preceded him in death in November 1990. Survivors include: 1 son, Mike Montgomery and wife Beverly, Cement, Oklahoma; daughter, Pam Worbes, Verden, Oklahoma; 2 sisters: Sally Bartlett, Marlow, Oklahoma, Mary Patterson, Tuttle, Oklahoma; 3 brothers: Mark Skinner, Wyoming. Paul Skinner, Fresno, California, Gene Skinner, California; 4 grandchildren: Shelley Johnson and husband Sean, Cement, Oklahoma, Joe Montgomery, Cement, Oklahoma, Jonah Worbes and wife Tara, Cement, Oklahoma. Lori McCrackin and husband Jeff, Chickasha, Oklahoma; 5 great grandchildren: Logan and Luke Johnson, Carlie and Cale Green, Kyle Worbes. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Montgomery.
