© The Chickasha Express-Star Tuesday, 10 July 2007 Alma [Clark] Gillette Leslie Alma Gillette Leslie, 84, was born January 18, 1923 in Athens, Arkansas, to Other R. and Delona [Ralls] Clark. She died Saturday, July 7, in Chickasha, following a lengthy illness. Alma grew up in Arkansas and graduated from high school there. She and her first husband, Paul Gillette, ran the Mistletoe Express in Anadarko for many years, until his death in 1972. She married Robert Leslie in 1973, and they made their home in the Laverty community until she moved into the Grace Living Center 9 months ago. In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Ronald Gillette and Paul Neil Gillette, one grandson, Brian Wade Tenney, one brother, and five sisters. Survivors include her husband Bob Leslie, of Oklahoma City; three sons, Larry Gillette of Duncan; Darrell Gillette and wife Linda of Oklahoma City; Lewis Gillette and wife Kim of Fort Cobb Lake; two daughters, Linda Tenney and husband Dennis and Dorothy Keaton and husband Robert, all of Duncan; nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia Earlene Peterson and husband Jerry and Billie June Delk and husband Clarence, all of Oklahoma City; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and loving friends. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, in Steverson Funeral Chapel with Bro. Ted Mercer, Pastor of Grace Christian Fellowship, officiating. Burial to follow in Memory Lane Cemetery. Viewing until 9:00 PM, Tuesday, and from 9:00 AM until service time Wednesday. Condolences may be sent via e-mail to steversonfuneralhome@netride.net |
