15 September 2010 Ruby Launita [Beets] Haney Funeral services for Ruby Launita Haney, 91, former Anadarko resident, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16, at the Anadarko Assembly of God Church. She was born Jan. 24, 1919, near Gracemont to Leslie E and Dora Alene (Leathers) Beets. She passed from this life on Monday, Sept. 13, 2010, in Florida. She was raised on a farm north of Square Top and attended a country school. She and Otho J. Haney were married on July 13, 1940, in Stratford. They came to live in Anadarko after he was discharged from the U.S. Army in Dec., 1945. Otho died in March of 1992. Ruby worked at Gold Kist Peanuts for 27 years as a supervisor quality control. She as a longtime member of the Assembly of God Church. In addition to her husband, Ruby was preceded in death by two brothers, Herman Beets and Arie Beets, and two sisters, Geneva Moore and Leeta Allen. Survivors include her son, James O. Haney and his wife, June, of Valrico, Fla.; two granddaughters, Valerie Parker and husband Dave of Kauai, Hawaii, and Kerry Keene and husband Derek of Lighthouse Point, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Grant and Griffin Parker of Hawaii, and Grady and Eadan Keene of Lighthouse Point; many cousins and many loving friends. Viewing will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 9a.m. to noon on Thursday. Burial will follow in Memory Lane Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Steverson Funeral Home in Anadarko. |
