Maria [Feichtbauer] Gilliam

CHICKASHA - Graveside service for Maria Feichtbauer Gilliam, 83, Chickasha, will be at 11 a.m. today in Memory Lane Cemetery, Anadarko.

Mrs. Gilliam died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008, in a Chickasha nursing home.

Arrangements are under direction of Steverson Funeral Home, Anadarko.

She was born May 26, 1925, in Austria, and grew up there. She married Jay D. Gilliam on Sept. 10, 1956, in Karlsruhe, Germany. They moved to Fletcher, and after his death in 1975, she continued to live in Fletcher. She was homemaker and lived in rural Anadarko with her daughter for about a year until she moved to a nursing home two months ago.

Survivors include a daughter, Jeannette Gilliiam, Anadarko; two sons and a daughter-in-law: Gary and Sonya Gilliam, Cyril; and David Gilliam, Fletcher; four grandchildren: Davey Gilliam, Fletcher; Dawn Detleff, Guthrie; and Chaz and Shekinah Gilliam, both of Cyril; and other family members in Austria.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother-in-law, Ray Gilliam.
