Linda K. [Tuttle] Black
Linda K. Black, 61, of Anadarko, Oklahoma, passed from this life after a brief illness on Thursday, July 20, 2006 at the Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Linda was born July 8, 1945 in Hobart, Oklahoma to Francis & Vivian Tuttle.
Mrs. Black was raised in Gotebo, Holdenville and graduated from Muskogee High School in the Class of 1963. She went on to graduate from Oklahoma State University with an Education degree in 1967.
She married Amos E. Black, III on August 24, 1968 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. They have resided in Anadarko since 1971.
Mrs. Black dedicated her life to the service of family, friends and career. Mrs. Black began her teaching career in Tulsa and continued to educate young people after moving to Anadarko. She took great joy in making a difference in the lives of the children with whom she had the pleasure to teach.
Mrs. Black will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her husband, Amos of the home; two sons, Amos E. Black IV of Anadarko, Oklahoma, Joshua Black of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, mother, Vivian Tuttle of Stillwater, Oklahoma; brother, Al Tuttle of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and many loving friends.
She is preceded in death by her father, Francis Tuttle and brother, Denny Tuttle.
Funeral service: 10:00 a.m.Tuesday, July 25, 2006 at the First Baptist Church, Anadarko, Oklahoma. Officiating: Rev. David Jones, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Burial to follow in the Memory Lane Cemetery, Anadarko, Oklahoma under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Anadarko, OK.
