Caddo County, Oklahoma July 2003 December 31, 1967 ~ July 3, 2003 Loobeba Man Dies In Car Crash A Lookeba man was killed when his car ran off U.S. 281 in Caddo County, overturned and struck a utility pole. Guillermo R. Vargas, 35, was dead at the scene of the 1:10 a.m. Thursday crash, about 2 1/2 miles north of Lookeba, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said. Troopers said Vargas was speeding and was not wearing a seat belt. |
Binger, Oklahoma July 2, 2014 09/Sep/1974 ~ June 23,. 2014 Michelle Martinez Vargas was born September 9, 1974 in Wauseon, OH to Antonio and Hortinsia [Hinojsa] Rodriguez. She passed away, Monday, June 23, 2014 at her home in Binger, Okla., at the age of 39. Michelle graduated from Lookeba-Sickles High School. She married Gustavo Vargas on September 23, 1993 in Lookeba, Okla. She worked at Sooner's Superette in Hinton for 10 years and cooked at Crossroads Grocery for the past year. Michelle enjoyed tending to her plants, attending ballgames, spending time with her family and always clowning around with them, and especially loved making people laugh. Michelle attended Sickles Community Church. Michelle was preceded in death by her father, Antonio Rodriguez, brother, Daniel Rodriguez, grandparents; Antonio and Margarita Rodriguez and Pedro and Lillie Hinojsa. Survivors include; husband, Gustavo Vargas of the home in Binger, Okla., 2 daughters; Selena and Monica Vargas, mother; Hortinsia Rodriguez of Lookeba, Okla., siblings; Sammy Rodriguez and wife Rhonda of Hinton, Okla., Juan Rodriguez and wife Tricia of Eakly, Okla., David Rodriguez and wife Kerri of Anadarko, Okla., Jesse Rodriguez and wife Dawn of Hinton, Okla., Luis Rodriguez and wife Tracy of Lookeba, Okla., and Ruby Orozco and husband Luis of Lookeba, Okla., father and mother-in-law, Raymond and Maria Elena Martinez, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many other relatives and friends. Services were on June, 27, 2014. Officiating was the Rev. Tom Clifton. Burial was at Lookeba Cemetery, Lookeba, Okla., under the direction of Turner Funeral Homes, Hinton, Okla. |
