Binger, Oklahoma August 2011 November 2, 1929 ~ August 19, 2011 Geneva I. Thrasher Stephens, 81 of Binger, Oklahoma departed this life on Friday, August 19, 2011 at the Binger Nursing Home. She was born November 2, 1929 to Walter and Mary VonAllmon Thrasher in Lookeba, Oklahoma. She was a graduate of Lookeba High School in the class of 1947. She moved to California when she was 19 years old and lived there until 1991, then she returned to Binger and has lived here since that time. She worked at Binger City Hall for a short time before becoming a caregiver for Bob Kelly until his death. She was a active member of the Church of Christ in Binger, Oklahoma. She was well informed in health care in natural foods and loved gardening. Geneva was a hard worker and loved being with her family. She decided in November of 2010 it was time to go to the Nursing Home so she checked herself in. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by; her sisters, Lorene Thrasher Wilson, Bobby Jackson and Janice M. Warren Elliott and husband Glenn all of Binger, Oklahoma , brothers, Jjimmy Warren and wife, Carol of Binger, Oklahoma, Larry D. Warren and wife, Gail and Lonnie E. Warren and wife, Elaine of Lookeba, Oklahoma numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by, her parents, her step father, two brothers, Edard F. Warren and Lloyd Warren, niece, Kay Wilson, nephew, Tommy Jackson, two brothers in law, Rube Wilson and Ted Jackson. Services will be 10:00 A. M.l Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at the Church of Christ in Binger, Oklahoma, Officiating, David East. Burial will follow in the Lookeba Cemetery, Lookeba, Oklahoma under the direction of Binger Funeral Home of Binger, Oklahoma. |
