© Carnegie Herald Carnegie, Oklahoma Wednesday, December 24, 1975 April 2, 1894 ~ December 22, 1975 Funeral services for Felix H. Johnston, 81, of Lookeba United Methodist Church. He died Monday at his home. Rev. Dale Whitmarch and Rev. Leonard Gillingham officiated. Burial was in the Lookeba Cemetery. A retired cotton ginner, Johnston was born April 2, 1894 at Owl Hollow, Tenn. He came to Oklahoma in 1911 from Tennessee and to Lookeba in 1915. He was married to Elizabeth Cliver June 1, 1924 at Lookeba. She died in 1962. Johnston was veteran of World War I, a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge and World War I Barracks No. 1705 at Anadarko. Survivors include one son, Dale of Lookeba, one brother, Albert of Denver, Colo., five grandchildren and three great-granddaughters. |
Binger, Oklahoma October 2019 September 19, 1951 ~ October 21, 2019 Donald Ray "Donnie" Johnston was born on September 19, 1951 to Dale E. and Alice H. Schimmel Johnston in Anadarko, Oklahoma. He passed away on October 21, 2019 at the Binger Nursing Home in Binger, OK. At the age of 68. Donnie graduated from Lookeba-Sickles High School and worked as a machinist for Gulf Stream for 25 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of Sickles Community Church where he was baptized. Survivors include: his daughter, Jennifer and her husband Jon Bakewell of Piedmont, OK, one grandson, Jacob Bakewell of Piedmont, OK, brothers; Larry Johnston and his wife Gala, Bill Johnston, and one sister, Christy Johnston all of Lookeba, OK. Donnie was preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Alice Johnston, and one sister, Beverly Helmuth. Services: Missionary Baptist Church, Hinton, OK Burial: Lookeba Cemetery, Lookeba, OK. Services entrusted to Turner Funeral Home, Hinton, Oklahoma. |
