Oma Mae [Miller] Gills
September 26, 1899 ~ July 6, 1977


Gills Service Held Saturday

Services for Oma Gills, 77, of Hinton were at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Binger Church of God with Rev. W.L. Mackey, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the Lookeba cemetery.

Mrs. Gills died Wednesday in the Carnegie Tri-County Municipal Hospital.

She was born September 26, 1988, in Gainesville, Tex.

She was married October 16, 1919, at Antlers to James Robert Gills, who died February 8, 1973, at Hinton.

Mrs. Gills moved to Eakly in 1956 from Eagle Town and moved to Hinton in 1968.

Survivors include four sons, Miles of Hinton, Charley of Blair, E.K. of Waurika and F.D. of Binger; two daughters, Louisa Honeycut of Lookeba and Betty Sessums of Velma-Alma; one sister, Myrtle Wilkus of Denver, Colo.; one brother, Clifford Miller of San Diego, Calif.; 18 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and 46 step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services For Mrs. Gills Held At Lookeba

Funeral services for Mrs. F.D. Gills were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Lookeba Methodist church with Rev. Don Miller and Rev. R.F. Dennis officiating. Interment was in the Lookeba cemetery.

Mrs. Gills died Thursday at the Hinton hospital after a lengthy illness.

Estell Sutton was born May 11, 1929 to Perry and Hazel Sutton of Nashville, Ark.

She was married to F.D. Gills in 1955 at Texarkana, Ark. They had lived in the Eakly and Lookeba-Sickles communities the past eight years.

She is survived by her husband; seven daughters, Mary Andrews, Karen, Rita, Marie and Nancy Overturf, Debbie and Gloria Gills and two sons, Tommy Overturf and James Gills, all of the home near Lookeba; her mother, also of the home; a brother, Perry Jr., and a sister, Vivian, both married.

Her father preceded her in death about a month ago.

Isabel S. [Soto] Gills
March 8, 1942 ~ February 18, 2018


Isabel S. Gills, 75 of Binger, Oklahoma, was called home by the Lord on Sunday, February 18, 2018 in Yukon, Oklahoma.

Isabel was born March 8, 1942 in Bryan, Texas to Trinidad and Felicia Helen [Torres] Soto.

She grew up in Lubbock and Post, Texas.

She moved to Colorado for awhile then to Gracemont, Oklahoma and later to Binger where she made her home.

Isabel married F. D. Gills on February 2, 1967 in Clinton, Oklahoma. They were married for 51 years. Together they raised their family whom they loved very much. Isabel was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother not to mention the many other roles she played.

She was a member of the Binger New Vision Church of God.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, F.D. of the home; sons: J.R. Gills and wife, Shelly of Binger, Tommy Overturf of Binger, Andrew Soto and wife, Michelle of Ardmore, Joe Gills and wife, Rhenda of Binger and Chris Soto and wife, Tina of Binger; daughters: Mary Hicks of Blanchard, Karen Freeheart and husband, Chase of Quapaw, Rita Martin and husband, Lloyd of Grove, Nancy Weeter and husband, Jerry of Driftwood, Texas, Maria Richardson of Weatherford, Oklahoma, Deborah Stout and husband, Truitt of Waco, Texas, Marie Holland and husband, Hank of Red Oak, Gloria Stanphill of Chickasha and Helen Soto and husband, Thomas Cleveland of Binger; brother, Felix Gonzales and wife, Geneva of Weatherford; sisters: Tommie Rodriquez and husband, Jose of Centerville, Texas, Mary Gonzales and husband, Martin Garcia of Binger, Emma Ceballos of Binger and Frances Soto Garcia; 43 grandchildren; 95 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Isabel is preceded in death by her mother and stepdad Jessie Gonzales; son, James Gills; brother, Joe Soto and grandson, Andy Soto.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M., Friday, February 23, 2018 at the Binger New Vision Church of God. Pastor Kevin Bartley and Andrew Soto will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Lookeba Cemetery.

Funeral services are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Anadarko, Oklahoma.
