© The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma Saturday, December 11, 2010 November 22, 1934 ~ December 1, 2010 Funeral service for Charles Floyd Roach, Sr., 76, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 4, 2010 at the Chickasha Freewill Baptist Church. Charles Floyd Roach, Sr. was born November 22, 1934 in Gracemont, Oklahoma the son of Clarence Calvin and Lottie Martha Charles [Goodall] Roach. He died December 2, 2010 at his home in Chickasha. Charles graduated from Gracemont High School in 1954. He joined the U.S. Army and served in Germany from 1954-1956. Charles worked for Southwestern Bell and A.T. & T. After retiring from A.T. & T., he owned and operated Chickasha Telecommunications. Charles and JoAnn Fisher were married March 16, 1958 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was a member of the Chickasha Freewill Baptist Church where he was ordained as a deacon in July of 1986. Charles was preceded in death by: Parents 1 sister: Ellen Lucille Garrett, Stepfather: Pap Fagins. Survivors include: Wife: JoAnn Roach of the home, 1 daughter: LaDawn Ledford and husband Shawn of Chickasha, 1 son: Charles Roach Jr. and wife Anita of Cement, 1 brother: Orval Newby and wife Bonnie of Eufaula, OK, 8 grandchildren: Misty Williams, Summer Bratcher, Austin Baker, Jason Ledford, Josh Roach, Kristie Brawner and husband, Ricky, Shanna Roach, and Trista Ledford, 4 great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews. Interment will be in the Gracemont Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. |
