June 13, 2009 Phillip Allen "P.A." Wetselline Anadarko - Funeral for Phillip Allen Wetselline, 46, Anadarko, will be at 10 am Friday at First Baptist Church, Fort Cobb/Jul/2009 Wake service will be at 7 pm Thursday at Apache Indian Baptist Church, 2 ½ miles west of Fort Cobb on Indian Road. Mr. Wetselline died Monday, July 13, 2009, at his home. Burial will be in Fort Cobb Cemetery, Fort Cobb, under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Anadarko. He was born on March 15, 1963 in Lawton, to Haskell Brown and Iris Wetsilline He attended Fort Cobb School and Concho Indian School in El Reno. He graduated Riverside Indian School in Anadarko with the Class of 1982. He played first base on the Syko's, the Hitmen, the Super Chiefs and the Okit Tribes Softball Teams. He also played baseball, basketball and football. He was a member of the Apache Tribe and the Kiowa Apache Blackfoot Society. He was a property and supply clerk wi the Indian Hospital in Lawton. He was a member of the Native American Church. Survivors include a daughter, Charlotte Nichole Wetselline, Shawnee, his mother, Iris Walker, Anadarko, four grandchildren; Erika and Ellijah Pollard, both of Shawnee, Christopher "Scrappy" Horse, Verden, and Arella Butler, Oklahoma City; three brothers: Gordon Wetselline and Scott Walker, both of Anadarko; David Beetss, Ada; four sisters: Cheryl Wetselline, Darla Wetselline and Mona Wetselline, all of Anadarko; and Catherine Walker, Oklahoma City; four uncles: Phillip M. Wetselline, Terry Wetselline. Barry Wetselline and Hugh Sam RedBone, all of Anadarko; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a son, Henry Allen Wetselline; his father; his stepfather, Glenn Walker; and his maternal grandparents, Henry and Susie Wetselline. |
