© Carnegie Herald Carnegie, Oklahoma Wednesday, Janoary 1, 1958 Egbert Wilson Weave Rites Held At Fort Cobb For Caddo Pioneer FORT COBB- Funeral services for Egbert Wilson Weaver, a pioneer resident of Caddo county, were held at 2 p.m. Friday from the local Church of Christ. He had been a resident of the county for 50 years. Weaver, 83 years old, died at noon December 24 at Sapulpa. Born on July 7, 1874, he came to Caddo county in 1907. Survivors include his wife, Viola, whom he married in 1950; five children, all by previous marriages; Oscar, Ness City, Kans.; Joe, Fort Cobb; W.E., Sapulpa; Mrs. Verdie Gillmore, Oklahoma City; and Mrs. Beula Howard, Victoria, Tex. Also three brothers, Berdine, Rule, Tex.; Bradley, also living in Texas; and Edgar of N.M.; a sister, Mrs. Alice Rock, Brownfield, Tex.; six step-children, 15 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren. Three earlier wives preceded him in death. E.L. Stumbo, minister of the Fort Cobb Church of Christ, officiated at the services. Burial was made at the Oak Grove cemetery. |
